RIP Ahmet

I grew up listening to Atlantic Records artists. Its founder Ahmet Ertegun died yesterday; he was 83. Story here. His character was well acted/developed in the movie Ray by underated actor Curtis Armstrong (aka Booger from Revenge of the Nerds).

Ertegun pioneered 60s soul--Aretha, Ray Charles, Muscle Shoals (band from Blues Brothers), and my all-time favorite Otis Redding.
