Assumed

Happy Feast of the Assumption of Mary.

Today the Church celebrates her as Mother of the Divine, Assumed and Crowned Queen of Heaven (Regina Caeli). One of my favorite feasts and devotions.

I was also adopted on tthe 15th of August (born on the 1st) and interestingly the day I took my vows as a Jesuit on. [When I was a Jesuit that it].

When combined with her presence at the Birth of the Church, we see Mary as symobl of spiritual Ascent (Assumption) and Descent (Pentecost).
